After the battle at the Scorched Gates, Rhun Kin escapes the erupting valley with all seven sacred blades reclaimed. The tyrant Varkos lies dead, yet the lands remain unstable. Fractured remnants of his warband still roam the scorched plains, their leaders driven by vengeance and ambition. One among them now believes the FireBlade belongs to him.
Wounded and pursued, Rhun rides north through the basalt lowlands and forgotten trails of Valenfyr, carrying a power he does not yet fully understand. The blades were never forged for conquest — but neither were they meant to rest lightly in mortal hands.
Seeking refuge within the fire-worn ruins of Ember Hollow, Rhun turns to kin long estranged. There, among ancient stone and fading memory, he uncovers truths buried since the first eruption — truths about the original exodus, the sacred charge of the blades, and the deeper cost of bearing the flame.
But the hunt is closing in.
And the Inferno still stirs beneath the earth.
